We remain concerned about the legal uncertainty created for providers of wi-fi in accommodation.

Energy Performance Certificates

EASCO supports EPCs on sale or long term rental of property but regards them as absurd for self catering holiday accommodation. The calculations don't take seasonal use into account and the holidaymaker is unlikely to evaluate the energy performance of a property in which he or she is only going to spend a couple of weeks, and for which he or she is not paying the electricity bill. It's more red tape for no purpose.

Business Rates Revaluation

EASCO and colleagues at WASCO want to see abetter way of calculating business rateable value for self catering property in England and Wales. We have started a dialogue with the Valuation Office Agency with regard to the 2015 revaluation.
